Understanding Exercise

Have you ever wondered why you are not losing any weight? You are eating healthy and exercising daily, but you're not seeing any results. In my experience with health and fitness, it's about knowing your body and how much you really need to push yourself. There are 2 different types of exercise and you need to know the difference if you want results.

1) Exercising to maintain a healthy lifestyle and get cardiovascular benefits.

This type of exercise is for people who are not trying to lose weight. They want to stay healthy and have better blood flow to the heart. When you do daily physical activity, it helps keep plaque from building up in the arteries preventing many heart conditions such as stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis, embolism, etc. Many elderly people will try to walk at least 30 minutes a day for these benefits. Statistics show less people end up in the hospital when they include daily exercise to their lifestyle.

2) Exercising to achieve weight loss results.

This type of exercise is for those individuals who are really trying to lose weight and get in shape THE HEALTHY WAY. I'm not going to lie...this is a lot of hard work. It takes daily dedication on your behalf to achieve these goals. You have to ask yourself...How badly do I want to lose this weight? Make a list of all the reasons of your WHY. Once you find your WHY, it will be easier to stick to a routine. Remember it takes 21 days to break and make a habit. Those first 21 days are going to be the hardest days, but if you really want it; I mean really truly want it, you will make it happen. It can be done, it has been done, and it will continue to be done. You just have to put in the effort, and I guarantee you will be successful in your results. I've done it, I know it works!

What do you see in this picture that relates to achieving results?

I'll tell you what I see; I see someone who has worked their butt off to get results. Yes this is me after one of my very intense workouts. See the sweat? That is how you achieve results. I see people walking at a normal pace maybe sweating some, but not really putting all their effort into it. It's about pushing yourself beyond your limits. So many people start feeling tired so they slow down or stop. That makes me push harder! That's what dedication is all about. You have to work at it, push for it, and when you get stronger from doing it every day, you push even harder. That is how you get results with your workouts! Don't give up...PUSH!
